Lead Server
Department: Food & Beverage Salary/Hourly Rate: $17 - $19 Per HourLead Server
Full-Time: Tuesday-Saturday 12:00 pm- 8:30 pm
- $17.00 - $19.00 depending on experience. This is a non-tipping environment.

The Lead Server is responsible for table service within the community dining rooms. This server must set the standard for all other servers to follow. The Lead Server is responsible for assisting management to ensure the highest standards of hospitality and service are being met by the rest of the wait staff.

Principle Duties
� Ability to effectively provide service to numerous tables in the busiest sections of the Dining Room.
� Responsible for training new hires and teaching others how to effectively train.
� Works with management to handle any complaints and find solutions.
� Assists with supervising the wait staff. These duties include: keeping everyone on task, delegating responsibilities, encouraging wait staff when necessary, and bringing problems to the attention of management.
� Works with management to coordinate staff for special functions and large parties. These duties will also require knowledge of event set-up and operation.
� Takes orders, provides service and all requested items both graciously and courteously.
� Answers questions about menu items.
� Helps meet department standards by working with kitchen staff to ensure on the best quality of food is served to the residents.
Qualifications:
� Must maintain positivity, sense of urgency, and promote STAR Core Values at all times.
� An up-beat attitude, with a resident-first mindset are mandatory.
� High school graduate.
� Must meet requirement of hours as a full time employee.
� Ability to understand and follow instructions and communicate effectively in English.
� Ability to interpret and explain menu, refer, or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understand requests.
� Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisors and peers. Requires courtesy, tact and graciousness at all times.
� Experience waiting in a hotel, restaurant or club strongly preferred.
