Career Pathways Coordinator, Burlington High School, start date October 2025.

 

Position:  Career Pathways Coordinators

 

Job Goal: Assist with the implementation of Burlington High School’s high quality Innovation Career Pathways (ICP) programs in business and technology.  The ICP program offers Burlington High School students an opportunity to explore careers, learn career readiness skills, and gain work-related learning experiences in high demand career fields.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing the ICP program.  Lead student advisory workshops, manage meeting logistics (rooms and materials), follow up with students, and update activity plans.
  • Ensure students have a MyCAP plan, and work with students individually and in groups to guide students with college and academic planning, working closely with counseling, faculty, and administrators.
  • Assist with administrative details and logistics for career experiences such as senior capstone projects, industry certifications, pathway field trips, career events, and career speakers.
  • Assist in promoting career pathways programs and regional STEM career opportunities to students and parents.
  • Meet regularly with the pathway faculty to outline and assess goals, vision, and deliverables.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with Burlington High School students, teachers, parents, administrators, and faculty.
  • Become familiar with Burlington High School systems including FlexLearning, ASPEN, payroll processes, Field Trip processes, ParentSquare, Google Classroom, Scior, MEFA, YouScience, MyCAP (Career and Academic Planning), and IT policies and procedures.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Project management experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a school environment.
  • Experience working with High School students.
  • Ability to use technology to track, manage, and promote programs.

  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Experience and commitment to working in a racially and culturally diverse teaching and learning community 

 

 

Compensation:

Hour rate of $40 per hour,  part-time, grant-funded position.

 

Start Date:

Immediately
