The contract for this position will be available once the school district is certain there are enough athletes to warrant this position and that they will have a season. If not enough players turn out for a C-Team, this position will be unavailable.
Position Description: Our coaches support the district mission by:
- Coaching and developing players on the High School C-Team
- Assisting the head coach of the Varsity team
- Working with the head coach of the Varsity team to build a cohesive 7-12 program
Terms of Employment: - November 17, 2025 - February 6, 2026; must be available weekdays after school for practices and games (practice times will be worked out with the Varsity coach)
- Contract will be issued once the school district confirms we have enough athletes for a C-Team
- Current CPR/First-Aid Card on file prior to the first day of coaching athletes
- Successful candidate must submit a Washington State Sexual Misconduct Disclosure and undergo state and federal background checks including fingerprinting at the applicant's expense
Salary Range: $3,150 - $4,305/season depending on experience
Benefits: Eligible employees may accrue sick leave at the rate of one (1) hour of sick leave for every 40 hours worked under Washington State Law. Upon working 630 hours in a school year, eligible employees may be eligible for insurance benefits through School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB) which includes, medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, life and AD&D insurance.
Required Qualifications:
• High School diploma
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Experience playing basketball at the High School level or beyond
• Some coaching experience in any sport
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience playing basketball at the college level or beyond
• Experience coaching basketball at the High School level or higher
• Availability to assist the High School program with summer workouts
• Availability to assist with fundraising for the 7-12 basketball program
