· Collaborate with the Sales, Services and Product team to articulate the overall Veson value proposition, vision and strategy to customers and partners.
· Be on the cutting edge of features and functionality with our entire suite of solutions
· Build credibility with prospects and clients in Veson’s ability to meet their requirements.
· Be the go-to internal technical resource for the sales team, educating teammates, clients and prospects on Veson’s offerings and innerworkings.
· Assist with technical engagements (deep dive product demos/presentations) with prospects during the sales process.
· Use in-depth product knowledge and technical skills to suggest and potentially develop product solutions for prospects.
· Act with urgency and precision to give users best-in-class pre-sales support in troubleshooting issues as they arise.
· Maintain accurate notes and feedback in Salesforce regarding client and prospect input both on opportunity wins and losses.
· Travel as needed. This role requires frequent travel within APAC and occasionally global, for both internal and external engagements.
· Work with other Pre-Sales team members on process improvements, ways of working and may need to jointly collaborate on opportunities.
· This role will work primarily on Data & Integration solutions from the Veson nautical solution suite.
· Collaborate with the Commercial, R&D and SC leadership teams to complete RFPs as needed
· As needed; participate in Market Launch and Market fit processes for new product/feature releases
· Directly support the sales team in two of Veson’s geographical locations but be available to collaborate or provide coverage in other locations as required.
· Own and maintain all demo environments with the goal of making sure all the latest capabilities are available in a timely fashion. This also includes setting up the environment and all other accompanying artifacts to be designed to deliver a crisp experience to the buyer.
- Experience in Maritime, Accounting or Commodity Trading while not required will also be highly preferred in the ideal candidate.
- A natural self-learner who enjoys taking the initiative and able to absorb new information quickly
- Experience with context-switching between customers and products
- Passion and ability to educate and excite clients, prospects and teammates about the potential of the Veson’s platform
- Ability to work collaboratively with the sales team to build and execute a close strategy per account
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills geared towards the ability to effectively understand and articulate both the business benefits (value proposition) and technical advantages of our offering.
- Experience selling to or supporting complex customers.
- Experience presenting to management level stakeholders in a face to face and remote client environment
- In some regions, additional languages may be required or deemed a beneficial quality.
- Fluent English Language – Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese and Japanese are not required but a plus
- Work well under pressure with a proven track record of meeting/exceeding goals
