POSITION: Intake and Referral Specialist - Part Time
STARTING DATE: As soon as possible
SALARY: $18.00 - $20.12 per hour, based on education and experience WORK YEAR: Part Time; 25-29.5 hours per week

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Serve as the first point of contact for families, including those who are prenatal and those with children from birth to age three, by providing excellent customer service and supporting the referral process through the completion of central intake duties. Assist families in understanding available services, guide them through the referral process, and ensure timely communication and follow-up to connect them with appropriate Early Childhood programs and community resources.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of High School Diploma required. Associate degree in Secretarial Science, Business Administration or a related area and equivalent combination of experience and education preferred.
Two (2) years customer service experience working in Early Childhood Programs preferred.
Ability to speak other languages, preferred.
Proficient in the use of telephone systems, computers, and office machines.
Knowledge or experience in working within different types of data systems.
Ability to type proficiently, approximately 40 WPM
Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Basic skills level in Microsoft and Google office applications, email applicationsand internet usage. Intermediate skill level preferred.
Willingness/ability to work as a team member.
Good organizational/communication skills, ability to demonstrate a high attention to detail and demonstrate effective follow-up and task completion skills.
History of good job attendance.
Must pass criminal background checks and be free from communicable diseases.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary and work year as established by the Governing Board. The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non - prescribed controlled substance use in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District.

Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Support Personnel.
