Major/Essential Functions
- Function within the nurse’s legal scope of practice and in accordance with the policies and procedures of the organization and practice setting.
- Supervise and/or delegate nursing care to other members of the health care team using evidence-based practice in accordance with departmental staffing model.
- Assists Clinic Director with development, maintenance, revision and evaluation of protocols; provide daily supervision of subordinates to include scheduling, activity overview and daily duties and function.
- Reports data, identifies and reports alterations in patient responses to assist in the identification of problems and formulation of goals outcomes and patient-centered plans of care in collaboration with patients, their families, and the interdisciplinary health care team.
- Supervises, prepares and evaluates reports in nursing programs such Texas Vaccines.
- May be required to provide cross-coverage for various Texas Tech Physicians of El Paso clinics across locations (Alberta, Transmountain, NE Clinic, Kenworthy, etc.) to ensure operational and staffing needs are met.
- Adhere to all TTUHSCEP policies, procedures and processes. (Regents Rules, TTUS, HSECEP OPs, etc.).
- Remains current with all licensure, certifications and mandatory compliances and trainings required of this position.
- Personally demonstrate, display, and act in accordance with TTUHSCEP’s values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork).
- Serve as a Value's leader while Actively promote and encourage staff across the institution.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in both English and Spanish
- One (1) year experience as an RN working in hospital, ambulatory clinic, or community-based setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively, written and verbally.
- Demonstrates the ability to effectively and positively serve as a contributing member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Required Qualifications
- Completion of a Board of Nursing accredited program of professional nursing or scheduled to complete a program of professional nursing within 120 days of applying for a position.
- Current Registered Nursing license in the state of Texas or the attainment of a temporary permit from the Board of Nursing to practice professional nursing pending full licensure in the state of Texas.
- New graduates must pass the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX- RN) on the first attempt.
- No experience required.
