Overview:

The Senior Branch Manager is responsible for leading the overall operations of the branch, ensuring exceptional member service, and driving sales and service performance. This role oversees the facilitation of member transactions and support services, with a focus on enhancing the member experience and meeting organizational goals.


In addition to operational leadership, the Senior Branch Manager serves as a community ambassador for Northwest, actively promoting the brand and increasing awareness of its financial products and services. Through outreach and engagement, the Senior Branch Manager helps strengthen Northwest’s presence and reputation within the local community.


By fostering a high-performing team and maintaining a member-centric environment, the Senior Branch Manager plays a critical role in delivering consistent, high-quality service and achieving branch success.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the development and performance of all branch employees, including, but not limited to training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Select and hire new employees; professionally onboard, develop, coach, and evaluate staff
  • Provide operational oversight of transactions, cash control, branch security, audits, internal controls, compliance, and adherence to policies and procedures
  • Identify skill gaps within the team and collaborate with branch leadership and the Talent Development Team to address them
  • Partner with senior management to establish growth, sales, and profit objectives for the branch; contribute input to these objectives and help define how performance will be measured and managed
  • Ensure branch goals are met by implementing effective strategies; assist in developing the annual budget and operate within budget parameters
  • Delegate business relationship management responsibilities and monitor outcomes
  • Perform Notary and Signature Guarantee duties as required
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date department policy and procedure documentation
  • Ensure compliance with operational, security, and control policies and procedures to prevent fraud and protect member assets
  • Proactively identify opportunities to offer product and service solutions that meet member needs
  • Deliver exceptional experiences to members through attentive and personalized service
  • Provide operational oversight, offer support, and resolve escalated member requests efficiently
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute projects that enhance visibility into the member experience
  • Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the branch
  • Remain aware of and adhere to NWFCU policies and procedures, as well as regulations related to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience, Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Branch Manager overseeing high-volume branches within a comparable financial institution
  • Experience with client service and relationship skill building; proactive sales skills and the ability to meet service and sales goals
  • Accuracy and detail orientation
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of NWFCU, Federal and state regulations required by the National Credit Union Association
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and/or with members
  • Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy and to exercise sound judgment, logic and initiative while maintaining member confidentiality
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Effective sales techniques
  • Ability to work Monday-Friday 9AM -6PM and Saturday 9AM-1PM
