Position Responsibilities:

• Completes a comprehensive nutritional assessment on each patient upon admission
• Counsels patients on principles of well-balanced nutrition in individual sessions and conduct group nutrition discussions 
• Prepares individualized meal plans that consider the needs of the patient including: medical, nutritional, age, cultural, religious and ethical concerns
• Provides at minimum weekly individual nutritional counseling for patients and family (as needed)
• Conducts nutrition education groups that are appropriate for adult and adolescent populations
• Provides updates on the nutritional status of each patient weekly as part of team rounds/meetings and as requested
• Completes all required documentation and reports in a timely manner, maintaining compliance with the policies and procedures
• Participates in development and updates of patient cycle menu
• Manages inventory and food ordering/restocking for weekly food orders

Education, Competencies and Credentials:

• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• Masters degree or equivalency from an accredited program through ACEND and; Graduate degree preferred
• Licensed in State of Employment as Dietitian/Nutritionist, if applicable; or willingness to obtain licensure upon hire
• Minimum of 1 year experience working as a Registered Dietitian; ideally in field of eating disorders, preferred

Hours:  PRN - On-call as needed
