As the Assistant Director of Housekeeping at The Pfister Hotel, you will provide dynamic leadership and assist with managing the Housekeeping Department, ensuring that guest rooms, public areas, and employee spaces meet the highest standards of cleanliness. You will support all aspects of housekeeping operations, staffing, training, and financial oversight while helping lead the department to continued success.

Built in 1893, The Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee has been a hotel icon for nearly 130 years. What you will be doing:

·         Assist with analysis of departmental issues and recommend courses of action to improve performance.

·         Support control of inventory and payroll expenses, as well as P&L analysis.

·         Ensure that cleanliness and maintenance standards are consistently met by all associates.

·         Supervise assigned housekeeping associates and areas to confirm duties are completed.

·         Assist with daily operations of the department and serve as Manager on Duty as needed.

·         Counsel associates and complete written performance appraisals.

·         Provide training and development to all Housekeeping staff.

·         Inspect and grade associate performance to ensure standards are upheld.

·         Represent the hotel with professionalism and decorum.

·         Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Position Requirements:

·         Previous supervisory or management experience in housekeeping, preferably in a luxury hotel.

·         High School Diploma required; degree in Hospitality or related field preferred.

·         Strong supervisory and leadership skills with the ability to build and retain a high-quality team.

·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

·         Knowledge of all cleaning operations, equipment, and materials including vacuum cleaners, push carts, and standard cleaning chemicals.

·         Experience with Opera PMS or similar hotel systems strongly preferred.
