Summary:
The Foam Cutting Operator will be responsible for operating a Baumer CNC Vertical CNC Foam cutting machine and Baumer Horizontal Sheeting machine in a safe manner. This position requires someone with manufacturing experience, ability to work in a safe and efficient manner while demonstrating strict attention to detail and producing quality products.
Primary Responsibilities (essential functions):
• Place large foam blocks on a conveyor for processing
• Stack and/or bundle completed parts on carts and deliver to assigned areas
• Operate measuring tools
• Operate CNC computers for cutting foam
• Read specifications for foam products
• Operate a foam baler for scrap foam material
• Willing to learn and work on other production lines when foam cutting is not required
Secondary Responsibilities (marginal functions):
• Perform basic maintenance on machinery such as changing the blade or sharpening blades
• Interpret part drawings
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Record measurements of checked parts in spreadsheet as required
Minimum Requirements:
• Must have High School Diploma, GED, or 1 year equivalent work experience
• Must be able to stand and walk for up to 10 hours in a shift
• Must be able to perform repetitive motion using arms, hands, and wrists.
• Must be able to communicate in English
• Must have good mechanical aptitude
• Must be able to consistently lift up to 50 lbs independently
• Must be able to team lift up to 100lbs
