DEPT: MAIL CENTER
HOURS: 35 HOURS PER WEEK
FT/PT/TEMP: FULL-TIME
EXEMPT STATUS: NON-EXEMPT
LOCATION: ON CAMPUS - PASADENA, CA

BRIEF DESCRIPTION:

Position is responsible for all sales transactions and supplies of the Mail Center and mail daily pick-up at the Unites States Postal Office.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential functions:

  • Responsible for prompt attention to customer transactions.
  • Prepares daily reports pertaining to postal meter machine and daily cash flow.
  • Responsible for picking up the mail at Post Office daily.
  • Sorts and distributes incoming postal parcels and USPS mail on a daily basis.
  • Deliver bulk mail to Post Office as needed.
  • Responsible for metering duties.
  • Performs weekly audits and inventory.
  • Forwards and returns mail.
  • Assists students and staff regarding box numbers, addresses, postal weights and fees (both foreign and domestic).
  • Handles incoming calls for postal staff.
  • Work cooperatively with other mail center employee.

Secondary functions:

  • Deliver paper order to campus
  • Back up for Custodial Team: Set up/clean for campus events
  • Perform other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:

  • High School Graduate
  • Minimum of one to two years postal experience
  • Good math and communication skills 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • A valid California driver’s license, with good driving record
  • Ability to work and communicate in multicultural settings.

ADDITIONAL REMARKS:

  • Must be willing to abide by Fuller Community Standards
  • This is an in-person position and expected to work out of the Pasadena, CA campus. 
  • Reports to Director of Auxiliary Services

PAY SCALE: 

  • Hourly rate the seminary expects to pay: $18.04 - 19.00 per hour USD
