Kayden Industries is seeking a reliable and motivated Shop Technician / Supplies Runner to join our team in Midland, Texas. This dual-role position is responsible for transporting parts, tools, and supplies to various job sites, vendors, and company locations, as well as assisting in our shop facility. The successful candidate will support shop operations by helping prepare equipment for upcoming jobs, performing servicing, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will possess strong time management skills, a clean driving record, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule:
- Regular schedule will be Monday through Friday.
- Flexibility to work weekends as needed to suit business requirements.
Job Functions and Contributions
Shop Duties:
- Assemble, disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, refurbish, and test centrifuges and related equipment.
- Perform pre- and post-job equipment inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Follow detailed checklists for assembly or servicing of pumps, centrifuges, flock tanks, premix tanks, and other equipment.
- Use cranes, lifts, and other tools safely while maintaining awareness of personal and team safety.
- Carry out wash bay duties, including pressure washing and cleaning equipment.
- Actively participate in the Quality Management System, ensuring only work that meets standards leaves the shop.
- Assist with inventory management, including movement of parts during repair or refurbishing.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop area, taking initiative to uphold a professional work environment.
- Multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while prioritizing safety and quality.
Parts Runner Duties:
- Pick up and deliver parts, equipment, and supplies to job sites, vendors, and company facilities in a timely manner.
- Inspect deliveries for accuracy and ensure proper documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups.
- Load and unload materials as required.
- Ensure the company vehicle is clean, maintained, and properly fueled.
- Communicate effectively with Operations, Shop, and Field teams.
Required Competencies
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and handle physical tasks.
- Familiarity with the Midland/Odessa area preferred.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability (or willingness to learn) to service, repair, and troubleshoot centrifuges and related equipment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Experience in the oilfield, construction, or industrial supply industry is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
Job Type: Full-time
Hourly Range: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
