JOB PURPOSE                                                                                                                                                

The technician will use knowledge, skills, experience, and good judgement to produce a reliable, quality, airworthy product at a reasonable cost and optimum turn time while providing the highest quality of workmanship for all work accomplished.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Job Functions:

  • Use repair station tooling to disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, assemble, and test components.
  • Can read and interpret component maintenance manuals.
  • Possess moderate computer skills that allow for repair data input and be able to manually log work performed onto work order dispositions and component log cards.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area that promotes a team first environment, allowing for all employees to productively share the workspace.
  • Be adept at working with mechanical and electrical components and systems.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Physical Demands: This job is performed in a an indoor, climate-controlled environment. Job tasks will require use of hand tools, long periods of standing, and the applicant must have the ability to lift 50 pounds independently.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  Aviation maintenance is preferred, but not required. A general mechanical and/or electrical understanding is desired. Non-Destructive Testing experience (specifically in liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, and eddy current disciplines) are a plus.

Certificates/Licenses:  Airframe and/or Powerplant license not required but considered.
