General Purpose
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Manager with a strong background in Customer Accounting, managing and reviewing activities related to accounts receivable, billing, credit and collections, cash application and maintaining accurate customer records.This role requires proficiency in Sage X3, and advanced Excel skills, with a preference for experience in Google Sheets and Power BI or Sigma. Additionally, the candidate must have experience reconciling customer accounts activity to GL line items, credit risk, chargebacks and managing multi-currency transactions. The ideal candidate should also have a process improvement mindset and be comfortable preparing ad hoc financial reports to support business decisions.
Duties and Responsibilities
Overseeing customer accounting operations: Managing and reviewing activities related to accounts receivable, billing, credit and collections, cash applications, and maintaining accurate customer records.
Financial reporting and analysis: Preparing and analyzing customer-specific financial reports, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with accounting standards like Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Client relationship management: Overseeing customer inquiries, resolving issues and concerns, and conducting regular reviews to assess progress and identify opportunities for growth.
Team leadership and development: Supervising, mentoring, and developing accounting staff involved in customer-related tasks, providing guidance and support on complex issues.
Process improvement and optimization: Identifying and implementing strategies to streamline financial workflows, enhance efficiency, and improve overall customer service delivery.
Reporting: Develop ad hoc reports using advanced Excel techniques, Google Sheets, and/or Power BI/Sigma.
Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally with accounting, finance, tax, and operations teams to optimize accounting processes.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations.

Qualifications
Education/ Years of Experience/ Certifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or another relevant field is highly preferred
CPA preferred; CMA a plus
10+ years of experience in accounting, including mergers and acquisitions, statutory audits, and fixed asset management
Experience in developing ad hoc reports using advanced Excel techniques, Google Sheets, and/or Power BI/Sigma.
Experience/Knowledge in High Radius software.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics (KSAO’s)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP particularly in customer accounting.
- Proficiency Sage X3, and advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros).
- Strong analytical skills with experience using Google Sheets and Power BI (preferred).
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and mentor teams.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in the consumer goods industry is preferred Multi-lingual a plus
