Job Title: Employee Engagement Specialist

About the Role:

We’re looking for a dynamic, creative HR partner who thrives on connecting with people and shaping an engaging, inclusive workplace culture. This role is all about reaching employees at all levels, thinking outside the box, and bringing energy to engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and team connection. While you’ll support HR processes, this is not a compliance or policy-focused role—it’s about creating meaningful experiences and helping managers and employees thrive.

Full Time position, 30-40 hours per week.

What You’ll Do:

Employee Engagement & Culture: Develop innovative programs that boost morale, celebrate achievements, strengthen team connections, and foster a sense of belonging.

Employee Appreciation & Recognition: Lead initiatives that recognize and celebrate employee contributions in creative ways and serve on the Recognition & Appreciation Committee to help shape organization-wide programs.

Onboarding & Early Experience: Serve as the “Welcome Wagon” for new employees and guide managers through the onboarding process, ensuring they are confident, prepared, and supported. Support intentional onboarding experiences, including the creation and implementation of 30-60-90 day plans that set clear expectations and milestones. Partner with managers to ensure onboarding plans are followed with fidelity, reinforcing consistency, accountability, and a strong start for every new hire.

Manager Support & Training: In collaboration with the Learning & Development Team, deliver practical, engaging guidance to managers, including performance management coaching and tips for team engagement.

Feedback & Employee Voice: Design and maintain feedback loops, surveys, and focus groups to understand employee perspectives and drive engagement improvements.

Talent Process Support: Coordinate internal applications, promotions, and conduct reference checks for all full-time entry-level hires. Support in the recruitment process, as needed.

Internal Communication: Share timely, engaging updates about employee resources, benefits spotlights, recognition programs, and other initiatives.

Project Management & System Optimization: Lead projects to enhance engagement, streamline systems, and improve HR processes to better serve employees.

HR Presence & Service Mindset: Be a visible, approachable HR partner who connects employees to resources, helps resolve issues, and fosters a culture of care.

What We’re Looking For:

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage employees and managers at all levels.

Creative problem-solving and a “think outside the box” approach to employee engagement.

Experience in project management, systems optimization, or process improvement.

A passion for creating a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
