Position Summary
The Production Technician – Stamping Press Operator is responsible for setting up and operating power presses to produce metal products. This includes blanking, forming, piercing, and cutting off parts by installing various dies and fixtures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Learn full operation, setup, maintenance, tool & die for stamping presses.
- Change tools, fixtures, and dies with guidance or assistance.
- Operate and conduct basic maintenance on equipment and dies.
- Troubleshoot problems using problem-solving techniques.
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or product specifications.
- Determine measurements, dimensions, and specifications from work instructions or job orders.
- Utilize correct fixtures and machine settings.
- Verify conformance to specifications and ensure quality through inspections.
- Operate basic manual and air tools (drills, hammers, wire cutters, soldering).
- Use functional gauges for quality assurance.
- Follow written and oral instructions to produce high-quality products.

Education and/or Experience
- High school education or equivalent.
- Up to three years’ related experience or training in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination.

Work Environment
This position is performed in a manufacturing/production setting with exposure to machinery, noise, dust, and metal debris. Safety equipment and training will be providedFirst shift - start time 6am, 7am or 8am, Monday - Friday. Occasional overtime when business necessitates.
