WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

The ideal Outlets Manager for Bear Creek is a guest service focused individual to support the daily operations across multiple dining venues within our resort, creating a positive, memorable experience for our guests. The successful team member will be able to work with their team as well as individually, have good communication skills, be detail oriented and foster the Bear Creek culture by focusing on our guests. This position will be an important member of the Food and Beverage team, providing support to our managers and front-line team while creating an exceptional dining experience and an engaging environment for our team members.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

  • Promote and foster a culture of team member engagement and active communication throughout the resort.

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily operations of retail food outlets including The Grille, Trails End Café and Mountain Eatery Café.
  • Coordinate with Sales Managers to plan and execute event bookings (i.e. rehearsal dinners, wedding breakfasts, wine festival-related bookings, etc.) to enhance the special events, targeting repeat customers and stimulate business levels.
  • Create and maintain uniform standards, specifically promoting a professional appearance.
  • Maintain a high level of creativity among the team with regards to Food, Beverage and Promotions.
  • Ensure the Bear Creek culture is prevalent that creates the expectation for service and guest satisfaction.

  • 30% Administrative work
  • 20% Cocktail quality control, menu development and Promotion growth and implementation
  • Maintain POS systems and update product pricing across all outlets and Banquet cash bars. Ensure that each POS system is streamlined and designed to promote quick transactions, ease of service, and accuracy.
  • Provide support to Banquets FOH when needed.

Team Leadership & Staff Development

  • Lead and mentor a team of department managers, supervisors, and frontline staff.
  • Develop and implement training programs for staff, focusing on meeting or exceeding service standards, safety, efficiency and legal requirements (TIPS, RAMP, Minor requirements).
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and professionalism.
  • Assist with hiring and workforce planning in The Grill and TEC. Interview, hire, and train all Mountain Eatery employees with the assistance of Eatery Supervisors.
  • Crosstrain team members in all outlets: Banquets, Grille, TEC, and MEC with the goal of creating a unified Food & Beverage Department and well-rounded professionals.
  • Oversee scheduling of all team members for FOH in Trail's End Cafe and the Mountain Eatery Cafe, ensuring that proper minor scheduling is adhered to.
  • Hold regular meetings with each outlet manager/supervisor to review observations, areas for improvement, and encouragement.
  • With Human Resources support, ensure proper performance management steps are handled properly.

Budgeting & Financial Oversight

  • Work with Accounting Department to develop and refine annual budgetary needs ensuring cost controls and operational efficiency.
  • Assist the Executive Chef meeting monthly budgetary goals for F&B outlets by monitoring expenditures related to purchases and staffing.
  • Participate in Ephad process.

Guest Experience

  • Hold managers accountable for service standards in outlets.
  • Resolve escalated guest concerns.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM ALL BCMR TEAM MEMBERS:

  • Acknowledge all guests and respond promptly to their needs, however busy and whatever time of day. Ensure unresolved incidents are reported to Manager/Supervisor
  • Familiarity with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
  • Contribute to the team's success by accomplishing tasks and assisting with projects as needed
  • Maintain knowledge and compliance with departmental policies, service procedures, and standards
  • Work as a team member to ensure our guests have the best possible experience
  • Understand emergency procedures and be able to apply them when necessary
  • Report any incidents, property damage or injuries immediately to Manager/Supervisor
  • Attend department meetings and training sessions as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager and/or Supervisor
