SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Springs Rescue Mission considers every position one of ministry and a vital and valued part of our team. The Catering Administrator position is a support role for Mission catering. This role supports the catering business by connecting with vendors, customers, and internal mission administration. This role is key to ensuring that customers are responded to, event proposals are created, and payments are collected in a timely manner. The Catering Administrator will work with Director and other SRM leadership to meet revenue goals, mile markers, and compliance standards, under the direction of the Director of Mission Catering/Food Services.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage customer flow, from event inquiry to event completion
- Responsible for maintaining strong communication with customers and vendors
- Help with scheduling events
- Input receipts and invoices into finance data management system
- Works to ensure all catering clients/events are schedule
- Work with customers to help craft event details
- Keeps good records and logs
- Helps chef manage schedules and data logs
- Minister, encourage and promote the growth and development of students and residents; facilitates teamwork, time management, and problem resolution
- Implements training of established health and safety standards and procedures, including those of USDA, OSHA and SERVsafe
- Collects all payments from catering customers
- Prepare and submit both formal and informal reports and/or presentations
- In this role, you may be required to drive on behalf of Springs Rescue Mission, so a valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required. To ensure the safety of our employees and compliance with state and federal law, SRM utilizes ongoing Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) monitoring. This means that you may be required to have MVR report run at any time to ensure you have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record if utilized as driver.
- Attends all required SRM meetings and reviews SRM emails regularly
- Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.
Requirements
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 2 years hospitality experience
- Minimum of 2 years of office work/administration
- Catering experience desirable
- SERVsafe certified
- Previous experience working with homeless, addicted, mentally ill highly desirable
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and is a constant witness. Christ-centered and compassionate attitude in dealing with people including the homeless and faithfully upholds and exemplifies SRM’s Statement of Faith
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to lead and teach culinary skills and Christian character development
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to clearly communicate verbally and promote teamwork and apply problem-solving skills
- Able to work with diverse groups of people treating all with dignity and respect
- Computer literate, knowledgeable in Word, Excel, and Email
- Knowledge of 12-steps/recovery/mental illness preferred
- Valid Colorado driver’s license
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL FACTORS:
Occasionally = 1%-33%; frequently = 34%-66%; continuously = 67%-100%.
Typical industrial kitchen in shelter environment.
Occasionally: sitting, stretching, climbing, work at high or elevated levels
Frequently: standing, bending, reaching, lifting, must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, walking, talking, manual dexterity
Continuously: climbing, carrying, kneeling, walking, adequate vision and hearing, good mental condition to withstand consistently medium to high levels of stress

Salary & benefits include the following: $19.00/hour
