Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily hotel operations, ensuring high standards of service and guest satisfaction
- Support the management team in implementing policies, procedures, and standards to optimize efficiency and profitability
- Supervise and motivate staff across departments, fostering a positive, safe, and productive work environment
- Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, revenue management, and cost control initiatives
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and promptness
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to promote hotel services and maximize occupancy
- Assist in training and development programs for staff to enhance service quality and operational skills
- Regularly covers front desk shifts.
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in hotel management or a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Sound understanding of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance
- Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and revenue management
- Ability to handle guest concerns with professionalism and tact
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Experience:
- Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to effectively perform the duties
- The Home2 Suites Plymouth is a 102-room hotel and comparable hotel size and scope of experience is preferred
