Position Purpose:
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will be responsible for driving business strategy, ensuring operational excellence, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and maintaining strong customer, employee, Board of Directors, and family ownership relationships.
The CEO will work closely with executive leaders and stakeholders across all levels to champion a sales- and customer-focused culture, evolve the business, and identify opportunities for innovation and growth. The CEO will also be evaluated on key performance measures, including revenue growth, EBITDA, and driving shareholder value creation.
This leader will be instrumental in building on the company’s strong foundation while advancing organizational discipline, accountability, and high-velocity execution in alignment with early stages of EOS implementation.
Reporting Relationships:
This executive will report directly to the Board of Directors. Direct reports include the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Vice President of Operations, Chief Financial Officer, and Director of Human Resources. The organization has a total of 130 full-time employees.
Job Summary:
- Strategic Leadership:
Develop and execute a long-term growth strategy aligned with company values. Leverage the EOS framework to identify opportunities for market expansion, operational innovation, and streamlined product offerings. - Operational Excellence:
Oversee all aspects of operations—including engineering, production, quality, and supply chain—to ensure safety, efficiency, and measurable improvement in key metrics such as cost, delivery, and productivity. - Financial Stewardship:
Lead financial planning and performance management to ensure profitability, cost control, and sustainable long-term value creation. - Customer Focus & Sales Alignment:
Foster a customer-centric culture across all functions. Collaborate with commercial leadership to strengthen customer relationships and align the business with market needs. - Organizational Development:
Inspire and develop a high-performing leadership team. Emphasize continuous improvement, talent development, and the training of operational personnel. - Stakeholder Alignment:
Partner with family ownership and the Board of Directors to align business direction with long-term strategic and cultural goals. - Employee-Centric Leadership:
Champion a culture that values and respects employees at all levels, fostering a strong sense of belonging and preserving the organization’s “family feel” while driving performance and growth. - EOS Implementation & Execution:
Champion the company’s EOS journey by embedding the Vision/Traction Organizer (V/TO), Rocks, and Scorecard metrics across the organization to drive focus and accountability. - Sustainability & Community Engagement:
Promote environmentally responsible practices and support community involvement as a trusted business leader.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the executive team to define and articulate the organization’s vision and to develop strategies for achieving that vision.
- Lead the development and implementation of strategic and annual plans designed to achieve multi-year growth objectives.
- Build a culture of high engagement by quickly assesses current organizational culture and leading thoughtful, change management initiatives to support necessary cultural shifts.
- Constantly assess organizational health and ensure all levels of management embrace key imperatives. Spend time in the field regularly, especially with customer-facing employees.
- Comfortable walking the floor to engage with employees to build a relationship, demonstrate your approachability and engage in conversation about feedback and ideas for the business.
- Supported by a high-quality strategic plan, drive go-to-market strategies such as geographic expansion, new customers, products, and industry sector growth.
- Provide strategic management and operational leadership to drive industry-leading growth & profitability, cash flow, operational results, and overall achievement of business goals and objectives.
- Institute strong financial and operational reporting rigor and discipline throughout the enterprise. Know the numbers – cash flow and balance sheet management.
- Establish credibility throughout the organization as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges and opportunities.
- Develop and implement plans to drive a strong and efficient operational infrastructure to include people, systems, and process alignment.
- Measure and manage effectiveness of all processes. Understand key metrics and provide executive reports on the operating condition of the Company.
- Lead and motivate direct reports and staff to build a high-performance culture by evaluating organizational structure, attracting and retaining top talent, and fostering a stimulating work environment that empowers employees to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Positively represent the organization with key clients, vendors, business partners, employees, and other important stakeholders.
- Develop, present, and gain alignment with the Board of Directors and owners on key strategic, operational, and financial requirements for the business.
- Provide day-to-day inspirational leadership and management reflecting the vision, mission, strategies, and core values of the Company.
- Build ensure adherence to strong business ethics and a culture supported by a foundation of clear core values.
Required Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate is a sitting CEO, President, COO, or senior P&L leader with 15+ years of progressive leadership experience, including a strong track record of driving growth within engineering-driven manufacturing.
- Excellent financial acumen with deep understanding of financial statements, cash flow management, and ROI-based decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to scale operations, optimize cost and delivery performance, and improve workforce capability and productivity.
- Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, and change leadership.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing growth strategies and go-to-market plans.
- High emotional intelligence (EQ) with the ability to build relationships, earn trust, and lead through influence.
- Track record of building high-performance teams and improving organizational alignment.
- Ability to think strategically and act tactically. Able to lead the business towards continual growth and profitability.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a proven ability to set a clear and compelling vision, build strong relationships across all levels of the organization, and foster a high-performance culture by developing leadership bench strength and aligning teams from the Board to front-line staff.

- Familiarity with or experience leading within an EOS organization preferred.

Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree required. MBA preferred.
