The Senior Communications Manager is a hands-on leader responsible for creating compelling content and key messages that reflect Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity’s mission to promote affordable homeownership and racial equity in housing. This role blends strategic oversight with active execution—writing and editing content, managing storytelling initiatives, and supporting executive communications. This role leads media relations, supports donor and partner communications, and ensures consistent messaging across all channels as part of the in-house marketing and communications team. This position serves as a key member of the department’s leadership team, which includes leads for Events, Marketing, and Internal Communications/Operations.

Required Qualifications
Education, Credentials, and Experience
- 4+ years of experience in communications, marketing, media relations, or public relations.
- Demonstrated excellence in writing and editing across formats and audiences.
- Experience developing content for executive leaders and donor audiences.
- Valid driver’s license and personal auto insurance compliant with TCHFH policy.
- Demonstrated ability to craft compelling narratives that connect with diverse audiences (local and global).

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, or related field.
- Experience working with and writing for external stakeholders to increase support, stewardship, and engagement.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Experience working with global brands and within in-house marketing and communications agencies.
