About the Team

The Account Management team at ZF Foxconn supports BMW and other business lines globally, with team members based in Germany and the UK. This position will work closely with international colleagues, as well as many cross-functional teams including project management, logistics, controlling and more. The team is collaborative and customer-driven, focusing on acquisition programs, relationship management, and strategic growth initiatives.

What you can look forward to as an Account Manager

  • Supervise all regional acquisition programs for the BU as released by the BU Management Team in coordination with the VP of the region & the KAM.
  • Provide first contact to the customer as customer advisory support and perform complaint management for the region/country. Initiate, establish & maintain customer relations and realize periodical review meetings / sales calls.
  • Support strategic & commercial evaluation of new projects and programs for the region/country. Participate in implementing the market / customer strategy into Business Plans and performance measurement system.
  • Calculate, prepare, and control biddings for region/country and re-negotiate terms of contract & prices for the specific project/ customer on a plant level in accordance with KAM. Coordinate contract management within customer key account and relevant ZF functions.
  • Provide support for the forecast / long-term planning, keep the market forecast up-to-date and control the project and cost plan.
  • Support project team with all commercial / technical / quality topics, including change management, tool orders, purchase orders, etc.
  • Collect, negotiate, and forward change requests from the customer & collect change orders.
  • Develop and prepare proposals for customer use of ZF products. Coordinate all commercial topics with the customer’s purchasing department considering KPI-set.

Your Profile as an Account Manager

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business
  • 6-8+ years of related professional experience (strongly preferred in automotive)
  • Profound product know-how, strong communication & negotiation skills
  • Strong assertiveness and entrepreneurial thinking
  • Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally
  • German and/or Spanish language skills a Plus
