We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern in our Broomfield, CO location.   All applicants for placement in safety-sensitive positions will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug test

Compensation & Benefits: 
Non-Incentive Eligible 
The pay range for this role is $27 - $32 per hour. Actual compensation within this range may vary based on the candidate’s skills, educational background, professional experience, and unique qualifications for the role. 


Key Responsibilities:
  • Works between scientists, engineers, material management, and technicians to develop manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in troubleshooting manufacturing issues including root cause and corrective action analysis
  • Help develop work instructions, standard operating procedures, and training material
  • Assist in developing processes that supports bill-of-material creation and change management.
  • Review the designs for cost, test, reliability, and manufacturability opportunities.
  • Research and evaluate new and existing processes, operations, and support systems for adaptation and/or improvements needed to manufacture the quantum computer.
  • Assist in integrating a new product lifecycle management (PLM) system and establishing processes for manufacturing to utilize the data.


  • YOU MUST HAVE:
  • Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
  • Graduating on or after 2026
  • 1+ years of experience with manufacturing hardware as part of projects, internships, clubs, or hobbies
  • Willingness for hands-on work
  • CAD Experience and ability to develop solid models & drawing packages utilizing programs such as Onshape, SolidWorks, or similar
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person. defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status 
  • Due to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen


  • WE VALUE:
  • Actively pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Continuing enrollment in degree program upon completion of the internship
  • Design for Test, Design for Cost, Design for Manufacturability experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in system engineering, physics, lasers & optics, electrical engineering, or closely allied fields.
  • Basic understanding of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • Experience with product lifecycle management software or enterprise resource planning software 
  • Individuals who are results-oriented and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done despite competing priorities 
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Validated academic excellence (3.0 GPA and higher)
