Job Overview
As a Loan Officer Assistant (LOA), you will provide dedicated support to an individual loan officer, or a team, throughout the mortgage loan process, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience from loan application through closing. The LOA is an extension of the team they support, so it is crucial that they maintain an excellent level of customer service and knowledge of the loan process throughout their interactions. This is an onsite position for Lubbock, TX.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Loan Officer with reviewing loan applications in a timely manner for accuracy & to ensure they are complete; Immediately notify the Loan Officer of any inaccurate or missing information.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients to answer all questions about their loans and provide next steps throughout the loan process; Loan Officer will always be CCd on client communication.
- Provide weekly loan status updates to clients, selling and listing agents
- Become proficient using Mortgage Coach for LO to use in buyer’s loan consultations
- Provide assistance to processor, as needed, to collect underwriting conditions
- Provide initial needs list to borrowers for Certified Pre-Approval submissions and submissions for purchases under contract or refinances
- Complete income calculations, order automated WVOEs, request manual WVOEs and obtain AUS findings on every file
- Complete LOA checklist for submissions to processing
- Monitor TBD and active pipelines and provide critical updates to assigned team members
- Schedule weekly pipeline calls with loan officer(s) and processor(s)
- Attend monthly Sales & Operations trainings to stay up to date on internal & external products and processes
- Participate in monthly LOA meetings for collaboration & team building opportunities
- Understand and follow company compliance policies and industry regulations
- Become proficient with RWM’s internal workflow, technology, & loan process
- Learn & understand basic conventional, FHA, VA and non-agency guidelines for qualification purposes
Qualifications
- Active NMLS License
- 1+ year experience as a Loan Officer Assistant
- Familiar with Encompass, Total Expert, nCino/Simple Nexus preferred

Compensation
$45,000-55,000 per year, commensurate with experience
$100 per funded file bonus
