Location: Flexible/hybrid working arrangements available across NSW, with some travel to Sydney metro locations required from time to time (negotiable)

Grade: DCS Clerk Grade 7/08

Salary Range: $113,574 - $ 125,720p.a. base salary dependent on experience, plus superannuation

The Department of Customer Service (DCS) is a service provider and regulator, focusing on delivering first-class customer service, digital transformation, and regulatory reform to create better outcomes for the people of NSW. 

Government Technology Platforms (GTP) forms part of Digital NSW and delivers core and common digital capabilities and infrastructure solutions including cross sector leadership across NSW Government underpinned by the Digital Government Strategy. 

The opportunity   

We are now inviting applications for the opportunity as a Scrum Master for Government Technology Platforms, within Digital NSW as it transforms to become the state's trusted partner to enable accessible and secure digital platforms and services for the citizens and business of NSW.

In this role you will promote lean and agile ways of working to support the delivery of projects and product initiatives, from concept through to strategy, implementation and continuous improvement, to meet organisational objectives within a hybrid of traditional and agile frameworks.

Day to Day Responsibilities  

  • Facilitating Scrum ceremonies such as daily standups, sprint planning and reviews
  • Conducting Maturity assessments to identify the health of products teams
  • Run retrospectives, and leveraging data to ensure a continuous improvement delivery environment is achieved
  • Ensure the teams adhere to our new ways of working
  • Removing impediments that hinder progress, coaching teams on Agile practices, and collaborating closely with the Product Owner to maintain a prioritized product backlog

What you will bring to this role 

  • Proven experience in coaching to create an outcome-focused product roadmap, gather customer insights, and define user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics for customer-centric product design and delivery.
  • Experience in guiding cross-functional teams through the entire product lifecycle, executing product strategy, validating features, and fostering organisational understanding of user-centred delivery approaches.
  • Experience on advising as well as implementation of continuous improvement initiatives for product delivery teams to increase efficiency, compliance and general delivery maturity
  • Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance customer experience and implementing Agile-driven process improvements for increased productivity and optimal service delivery.

Essential requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or demonstrated equivalent experience highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Scale Agile Framework (SAFe) practices

Salary Grade 9/10, with the base salary for this role starting at 110,266 base plus superannuation
