The applicant would engage in a full range of community pediatrics with duties including:%3C/span%3E%3Co:p%3E%3C/o:p%3E%3C/p%3E%3Cp class=%22MsoNormal%22 style=%22margin-left:40px;%22%3E%3Cspan style=%22color:black;%22%3EParticipating on the call coverage for the GNCH with newborn admitting privileges and consultation to NICU for neonates transitioning to home as needed. The on-call physician is expected to round on all non-assigned newborns the morning following being on call (averaging 12-20 newborns). Required:

·         MD or equivalent.

·         Licensed or eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.

·         Certification in Pediatrics with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

·         Expertise and commitment to quality care and patient safety.

·         Demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) in the healthcare environment.

·         Understanding of Just Culture and its role in healthcare.

Preferred:

·         An interest in community pediatrics or subspecialty training in areas aligned with community pediatrics activities is preferred.
