Night Crew Engineering Tech - Gestamp Chassis III
Role Summary
- Daily follow up of prevention and correction actions to maintain dimensional to meet customer requirements.
- Analysis and monitoring of dimensional adjustments and improvements based on trends and behaviours of stamped parts and assemblies.
- Encourage teamwork and the development of training, project monitoring.
Key Responsibility
- Regular participation in improvement activities, as part of a multi-disciplined team, on existing Facilities and Equipment. Responsibility for the installation of these improvements, together with any customer driven product changes, while minimizing the effect on Facility output.
- Control of TPM activities for robotic weld assembly fixtures together with maintenance of dimensional stability of all products.
- Complete continuous improvement activities and identify future cost saving ideas.
- Assist in the smooth introduction of new products and manufacturing facilities.
- Support all manufacturing lines to achieve quality, cost and delivery targets.
- Identify robust counter measures to customer and internal concerns.
- Analyze behaviors of stampings and assemblies in process.
- Maintain teamwork to achieve the objectives.
- Control dimensional status sub-assemblies and assemblies.
- Comply with the training levels for the development of the adjustment activity.
- Understand and respect the activities according to the quality system.
- Adhere to safety standards for integrity and equipment care.
- Review of conditions and mechanical operations of assembly fixtures.
- Raising reports of anomalies detected in assembly Fixtures.
- Respect the activities of order and cleanliness to ensure the conditions of 5's, environment and security.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
- Use of basic Software (Excel, Word, Power Point) for daily reports.
- Interpretation of geometric tolerances GD&T, CMM Report.
- Raising reports of anomalies detected in assembly Fixtures.
Knowledge and Education
- Have an associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or 1-3 years of related experience in Tooling Manufacturing/Gauge Manufacturing.
- Demonstrated success in implementation of improvement activities.
- Experience on Machining, CNC, Welding (MIG, MAG).
- Highly motivated individual showing drive and enthusiasm in a team environment.
- The capacity to work under their own initiative with minimal supervision.
- To understand and be able to apply modern manufacturing techniques and robust engineering solutions within a high volume manufacturing environment.
Work Experience
- Experience with high volume manufacturing (automotive preferred) and arc welding assemblies.
