Summit Anaheim currently has an open position for an Optek Technician (1st shift). Summit Interconnect is a manufacturer of advanced technology printed circuit boards with a specific focus on complex rigid and rigid-flex product with unique expertise in RF/Microwave applications.
Position Summary: The Optek Technician is responsible for dimensional inspection of product using the Optek machine. This position requires attention to detail, computer skills, and the ability to read and understand technical requirements of the traveler and blueprint.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the minimum of one (1) year in the printed circuit board industry and must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Required Skills:
Responsibilities:
- Read, understand, and interpret travelers and drawings provided to assess requirements and special instructions required for jobs.
- Inspects product to determine compliance with order specifications, company's quality control system for conformity to specified standards.
- Inspects product using the Optek machine.
- Record and print out dimensional reports.
- Identifies non-conforming product and its disposition.
- Stamps mark of approval or rejection on product or traveler.
- Logs job in and out with accurate counts of product.
- Stacks finished boards with separator sheets for transfer to next workstation.
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum (1) one year printed circuit board experience.
- Ability to use the Optek program and Windows based software.
Physical Demands:
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
- Must have very good concentration and must be able to remain focused with minor interruptions.
