Position Overview
As a Casual / On-Call Security Guard, you will be part of Paladin’s team assigned to Seneca Polytechnic campuses. This is a casual role with variable hours and an averaging agreement for overtime after 88 hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct proactive foot and vehicle patrols throughout campus facilities, residences, and student spaces.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and medical emergencies with confidence and care.
- Deliver excellent customer service and support to students, faculty, and visitors.
- Monitor access, enforce campus policies, and assist with event and crowd management.
- Prepare thorough incident reports and assist in investigations.
- Collaborate with Toronto Police, Fire, EMS, and other campus partners when required.
Requirements
Must-Have Qualifications
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
- Valid First Aid/CPR certification.
- Strong communication skills with a professional, upbeat attitude.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, diverse environment.
- Valid Driver’s License (G2 or G).
- Must not be a current Seneca student.
Assets (Preferred but not required):
- Previous experience in post-secondary or healthcare security.
- Bilingual/multilingual skills.
