Position Title: Planner

Reports to: Planning Manager
Position Purpose:
Reviews ERP plans and E-verbal orders to ensure any material/component conflicts are identified and resolved, replanned, or returned to Customer Service. Audits and corrects manufacturing planning parameters. Develops molding schedule to support deliveries. Develop manufacturing plans for major orders. Releases work orders and schedules manufacturing and assembly cells.
Essential Duties and responsibilities
· Daily, reviews ERP planned orders in release time frame. If material/components are available, releases a work order
· If work order cannot be released, analyzes, develops, and implements a plan to support sales order requirements, including getting commitment from responsible parties to support plan
· If sales order requirements cannot be supported, develops recovery plan for communication to customer, including getting commitment from responsible parties to support plan
· Audits E-Verbal orders, resolves material/component conflicts and releases orders or returns to customer service for replanning
· Firms plans for moldings and assemblies on E-verbal orders to support lead times
· Audits part manufacturing parameters on part numbers. Recommends changes to current lead times, order policy, and shrinkage factors that are missing or inconsistent with current practices. Enters non-standard order parameters into ERP
· Corrects issues to Work Orders that do not support completed assemblies. Locates source of parts and corrects issues before work order closure
· Develops Cell level schedules to support manufacturing and customer requirements
· Status various reports to support internal and or external metrics
· Participates in production health walk as required
· Other ad hoc reports or presentations to support company goals
· Document processes used to plan/schedule
· Responsible for following all establish Vaupell policies, standard operating procedures and safety practices
· Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications/Requirements
· High Schol Diploma/GED
· 2 years planning experience required; experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
· Fundamental knowledge of MRP systems required
· Previous experience with Epicor preferred
· Microsoft Suite experience required
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Candidates must be a “US Person” (i.e. US Citizen or Permanent Resident) to ensure Vaupell's compliance with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and EAR (Export Administration Regulations)
Environmental Condition
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and vibrations.
