Position Responsibilities:
· Coordinates patient flow in the office. Works directly with physician during office hours.
· Ensures continuity of clinical support for all services related to patient care through coordination with physician office staff.
· Triages patient calls. Works with physician to ensure proper handling of all calls.
· Prepares room and assist doctor in office procedures.
· Prepares all surgical packets for patient. Give instructions and preparation directions as needed.
· Takes after hours call and contacts physician for proper handling of all calls.
· Regularly monitors office for JCAHO Compliance including reviews of sample drug logs, sharps and completeness of patient records including Ambulatory Summary Records.
· Ensures that all post op patients are seen in a timely manner.
· Resolves problems and concerns of all clients with confidence and control in a timely manner
· Responsible for ensuring that par levels of office and medical supplies are kept.
· Responsible for completing and submitting pharmacy check list to Pharmacy Administration on a monthly basis.
· Responsible for completing and submitting Audit Tracer to Physician Administration on a monthly basis.
· Assists staff members with job duties as needed.
· Performs other departmental specific job responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
· Medical Assistant Certification from accredited institution/agency required. Phlebotomy Certification Preferred. CPR Certification required.
· Technical or Associate Degree is preferred
· 3-5 years’ experience in a physician practice setting / healthcare industry experience.
