OUR ROLE

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pastry Cook, to create pastries, desserts, and other baked goods for The Wilde, Bistro Novelle, Prologue, Banquets and In-Room Dining. The ideal candidate will bring a high level of enthusiasm and desire to continuously learn and develop, elevating their culinary abilities in order to ensure the highest level of food creativity & quality.

Key accountabilities include:

Consistently deliver exceptional service to guests and associates.

Maintain a safe, clean and organized working environment at all times.

Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation of all bakery products.

Assist with preparation and production of menu items following standardized recipes and procedures.

Follow proper sanitation procedures in the handling of food/equipment.

Clean kitchen and wash/clean kitchen utensils and equipment, assisting in special cleaning projects, as assigned.

Maintain efficient standards of operation and time preparation periods to meet service schedules.

Follow all safety and security policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions.

YOUR STORY

A Red-Seal certified culinary professional with a minimum of two years of experience in a similar upscale Restaurant operation in a downtown city center.

Someone with an outstanding work ethic, along with a track record of reliability, punctuality and an approachable demeanor, with a strong commitment to safety.

FoodSafe certification.

Strong pastry skills and workable knowledge of various kitchen equipment.

Solid understanding of standard measurements and portions.

Energetic with a passion for food.

Able to follow oral and written instructions.

Able to work well under pressure and enjoy a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communicator who values teamwork and collaboration.

Able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Physically able to stand for long periods of time and lift or carry objects up to 40 pounds or more.
