About the Department
The Shared Mobility Specialist will support day-to-day internal project management and coordination for the City of Detroit’s shared mobility programs (i.e., scooters, bikes, carsharing, ridesharing, etc.). The right candidate will act as subject matter expert for shared mobility solutions and work across multiple city departments and external stakeholders to support various shared mobility projects and programs. This role will report to the Chief of Mobility Innovation.
The Project Manager & Analytics Specialist class includes all positions whose duties are to identify and address process and project improvement opportunities within the City of Detroit. The Project Manager & Analytics Specialist must possess a detailed understanding of project management, project development, project implementation and project resolution. They are expected to have a broad understanding of change management and change implementation.
Position Duties
Schedules and leads meetings with scooter providers
· Tracks data and runs reports on scooter usage in the city
· Monitors and maintains geofencing policies for micromobility, including ensuring consistent compliance of policies and tracking of policy violations.
· Maintains internal compliance dashboard for accountability and trend tracking.
· Develops and manages relationships with rideshare (i.e., Uber, Lyft) and carsharing vendors
· Assists internal stakeholders in understanding generated reports, outputs, and operational interfaces, and counsels them on their use, and in finding ways to be used to improve their functionality.
· Engages with internal stakeholders to share program updates and gather feedback.
· Assists with the implementation of divisional goals, initiatives and plans.
· Develops and implements initiatives to improve work processes.
· Presents results of analyses concisely and effectively to ensure adoption.
· Produces summarization reports, outputs, and operational interfaces that present findings to stakeholders.
· Provides recommendations for improving business results, operational efficiencies, and system experiences through in-depth analysis.
· Tracks and reports project milestones and status reports to project sponsors.
Minimum Qualifications
For selection, appointment to a Program Analyst level II or higher, in addition to the minimum education requirement of a Bachelors degree, more progressive levels of experience are required based on the following:
Program Analyst II – at least two (2) years of experience
Equivalency
Equivalent combinations of education and experience that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be evaluated on an individual basis.
