As a Dental Assistant on our team, you will play a pivotal role in creating a comfortable, safe, and efficient environment for pediatric patients. You’ll assist in delivering preventive and restorative dental treatments, support the dentist and hygienist, and help shape the overall patient experience from check-in to dismissal.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and supplies for pediatric dental procedures
- Assist the dentist and hygienist chairside (e.g. passing instruments, suction, mixing materials)
- Take and develop intraoral and extraoral radiographs (X-rays)
- Provide patient education to children and their guardians (infant hygiene, brushing/flossing technique, diet counseling)
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment, following infection control protocols
- Record and maintain accurate patient records and charts
- Monitor and stock supplies, order as needed
- Aid in behavior guidance and management techniques appropriate for children
- Assist in emergency procedures (e.g. basic life support) when required
- Support front office tasks as needed (e.g. scheduling follow-ups, patient check-in/out)
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Dental Assistant certification or credentials (as required by state)
- Radiography certification (or ability to become certified)
- Prior experience with pediatric dental patients preferred
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young patients
- Ability to multitask and stay composed in a dynamic environment
- CPR / BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work flexible hours
