Process design team is now looking for an intern. This department works on basic engineering as well as Modular Units Projects but also on the development and validation of new technologies.
As any engineering project starts with establishing Heat & Material balance of a process, simulate complex processes accurately and efficiently is crucial for innovation and optimization.
Internship will be focused on testing a new process simulation tool already available on the market, compare it with the tools currently used at Axens, and assess its potential for replacing some of them.
Tasks and activities:
Fully integrated within the process design team, you will also work with Innovation Process Support Team to evaluate new process simulation tool. To that purpose, your tasks will be:
· Build a simulation model with new soft for a Hydroprocessing process, including fluid characterization, definition and sequence of unit operations, product properties analyses
· Comparison of Heat & Material balances with existing mature software
· Assessment of deviations and Identification of blocking or missing features in the new soft regarding unit operations, properties, thermodynamics packages…
· Draw-up a list of requests or suggestions for improvements to be submitted to software vendor
Profile :
· Currently in your last year of engineer school, specializing in Process/Chemical Engineering, you are looking for a 5 to 6 months internship.
· You are seeking technical challenges, you are eager to learn, and able to understand quickly new concepts.
