About the Department

Join the City of Grants Pass as an Economic Development Specialist.  This position is full-time with benefits and will work Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This position will:

• Prepare marketing material
• Provide support to City projects
• Communicate with the business community
• Perform the day-to-day management and coordinate special events
• Assist Division Manager with day-to-day operations and coordinate special events.

Position Duties

An Associate’s Degree in a related field, such as business administration or marketing, and three years of related experience are required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed in the job description. Experience with marketing, retail, and/or public relations experience for Economic Development preferred.
 
Licensing Requirements (positions in this class require):

• Oregon Driver’s License Class C

Other Qualifications

The ranking and selection of applicants to proceed in the process includes: experience,  responses to supplemental questionnaire, and meeting minimum qualifications of the position.  The initial selection process for this position includes the following steps: application review, written test, oral interview and chief interview.  The final selection process following interview includes the following steps: tentative offer, criminal history check, background/reference check, psychological, physical, drug screening and final offer of employment.
