The Warehouse Packer is responsible for packing various parts for Contract orders, LTL orders, UPS orders, and Small Package/Loose Parts orders utilizing proper UCC Environmental or Customer specifications.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The Warehouse Packer will:
- Identify proper boxes, crates, strapping, and banding equipment to pack material for safe delivery.
- Able to follow Customer packing requirements
- Creates and applies tags and labels that are required to properly ID products for customer and creates pack lists
- Process UPS and other express small part orders via existing software systems
- Perform “cycle counts as required
- Order consumables for packing area
- Load trucks for items to ship daily (Box Trucks, Flat Bed Trucks, Straight Trucks)
- All other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma
- Prior warehousing or packaging experience
- Forklift experience
- Basic Computer skills
Essential Physical Abilities:
- Employee will need to bend, twist, reach, push, and pull during the shift
- Must be able to lift 2 lbs to 50 lbs while picking parts
- Prolonged sitting up to 4 hours while operating forklifts. Must be able to stand up to 4 hours when picking parts.
