Job Summary:

 The position of Credit Administration Supervisor is exempt from the overtime provi­sions of the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act and shall not be entitled to overtime compensation for hours worked in excess of 40 in any one work week.

 The Credit Administration Supervisor shall be accountable to, and supervised by, the Director of Credit.

Essential Job Functions:

  • The Credit Administration Supervisor is responsible for the management of the issuance of credits, weekly/monthly chain account analysis, and price adjustment review. 
  • Has discretionary responsibility for all decisions as to qualifying credits based on company issued parameters.  
  • Responsible to work with management of other departments to streamline and manage root cause of credit necessity.
  • Identify and research return discrepancies.  
  • Assist Transportation and Warehouse management with proper training of drivers and driver check-in processor as it relates to credits. 
  • Position also requires other miscellaneous job duties as deemed necessary by the company or department manager.        Responsibilities are inclusive of but not limited to the above outlined functions.

 Supervise Imaging Dept.

  • Develop policy and procedure to maintain control over source documents such as invoices, return authorizations, OSDR’s and Account Applications.
  • Train staff as to proper maintenance of customer database, and document control.  Manage fee structure as it related to NSF checks.  
  • Oversee and train on electronic file management controls. 
  • Uses discretion and independent judgment on what is maintained, archived or discarded.

Credit Investigation

  • Responsible for researching new customers via both established database and outside Credit Agencies. 
  • Uses discretion and independent judgement when reviewing account history to ensure existing reports are utilized for duplicate business owners. 

Reporting

  • Oversee and train staff regarding multiple chain account reporting.  
  • Maintain control over chain accounts as it relates to issued and or requested credits.  
  • Work with Sales Management to provide customers with required history.
  • Track New Account Processing, identifying issues, which result in processing delays and implement changes to improve workflow.
  • Keep management advised or credit processing identifying issues by product, type and reason codes.

 Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills in terms of speaking and writing.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be able to independently research and document issues.
  • Must be able to multitask.
  • Must have calculative skills and minimum required typing speed.
  • Must be able to multi-task, meet deadlines and demonstrate good business judgment.
  • Requires a detailed oriented person with strong leadership and teaching capabilities.  

 Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • High School Diploma and/or five years of job related experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer experience, preferably with all Microsoft applications
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast paced environment

Salary to commensurate with experience.
