The Transportation Manager leads 8 Dispatch Supervisors, a team of 90 plus Drivers, and overall transportation operations to ensure finished goods are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leading, training, and developing team members.
   
• Overseeing daily routing, driver schedules, and Master Routing.
   
• Ensuring compliance with DOT, OSHA, and FMCSA regulations.
   
• Managing the transportation budget and controlling expenses.
   
• Monitoring KPIs such as on-time delivery, MPG, and driver retention.
   
• Building strong relationships with customers, carriers, and distribution centers.
   
• Driving process improvements through routing/telematics and backhaul optimization.
   
• Partnering with Safety and Fleet maintenance teams to improve training and operations.
   
• Managing staffing functions, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.

Requirements

 EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5–10 years of progressive experience in transportation, logistics, or distribution management (equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered).
