About the Role:

As a Therapist within the Health Care Services industry, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals and families through various mental health challenges, including addiction and life transitions. Your primary objective will be to facilitate healing and recovery by providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to each client's unique needs. You will work collaboratively with clients to develop coping strategies, improve emotional regulation, and foster resilience in the face of crisis or ongoing mental health concerns. This role requires a compassionate and patient-centered approach, ensuring that clients feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout their therapeutic journey. Ultimately, your work will contribute to improving clients' overall well-being and quality of life by promoting sustainable mental health and recovery outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health field.
  • Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in addiction treatment and mental health counseling.
  • Strong knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage diverse client populations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in specialized therapies such as Anger Management or Family Therapy.
  • Experience working with group therapy settings and facilitating support groups.
  • Training in trauma-informed care and culturally competent counseling practices.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and documentation standards.
  • Additional credentials related to life transitions counseling or behavioral health coaching.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing modalities such as psychotherapy, addiction treatment, and crisis intervention.
  • Facilitate addiction recovery programs and support clients through relapse prevention and life transition challenges.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical professionals and social workers, to coordinate holistic care.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records, monitor progress, and adjust treatment approaches as necessary.

Skills:

The required skills such as addiction treatment, counseling psychology, and mental health counseling are essential for assessing client needs and delivering targeted therapeutic interventions. Group therapy and family therapy skills enable you to address relational dynamics and foster supportive environments for recovery. Crisis intervention and anger management techniques are critical for managing acute client distress and promoting safety. Psychotherapy skills underpin the development of individualized treatment plans that facilitate emotional healing and behavioral change. Preferred skills like trauma-informed care and experience with electronic health records enhance your ability to provide comprehensive, culturally sensitive care while maintaining accurate documentation and compliance.
