Job Description:

Salomon is in an exciting chapter of growth as we expand our brand-owned retail footprint across North America.

This is a rare opportunity to help shape and build retail planning and allocation capabilities from the ground up. The Retail Planner & Allocator will play a critical role in ensuring the right product is in the right place at the right time — driving demand planning, allocation strategies, product availability, and merchandising execution across all retail locations.

You will partner closely with global and local teams to create scalable planning and allocation processes aligned with our consumer, brand, and commercial strategies.

Retail Planning & Forecasting

  • Lead demand forecasting and seasonal assortment planning for all Salomon stores in the U.S.
  • Collaborate with merchandising and global category teams to define localized assortment strategies.
  • Develop seasonal fill-up plans and weekly replenishment models to ensure optimal product availability by store and channel.
  • Partner with logistics and supply chain to secure timely, accurate product flow and allocation.

Allocation & Inventory Management

  • Manage initial product allocations based on assortment strategies, store volume, and regional trends.
  • Monitor sales, sell-through, and inventory levels to drive proactive replenishment decisions.
  • Balance inventory across stores to minimize stockouts and maximize productivity.
  • Identify slow-moving product opportunities and partner with store operations and visual merchandising to activate sell-through strategies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with store operations, visual merchandising, and store managers to support in-store execution and product storytelling.
  • Participate in S&OP processes and retail performance reviews with leadership and global planning teams.
  • Deliver actionable reporting and insights on sell-through, inventory health, and product performance metrics.

Tool Building & Process Design

  • Define and implement new retail planning and allocation tools that support a scalable, data-driven retail model.
  • Identify and execute process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy across assortment, allocation, and replenishment workflows.

WHAT YOU’LL HELP BUILD (First 12–18 Months)

  • Scalable, store-level forecasting and replenishment models that flex with growth.
