SUMMARY

Greet all guests, park guests’ vehicles upon arrival in the valet area in a safe, prompt, friendly, and courteous manner, and retrieve guests’ vehicles upon departure. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Greet all guests in a friendly and professional manner..
  • Ability and willingness to work in inclement weather.
  • Safely park and retrieve vehicles from the valet parking area.
  • Operate vehicles with both manual and automatic transmissions.
  • Accurately complete valet ticket data and vehicle inspection per department procedures.
  • Accurately record vehicle location data per department procedures.
  • Complete daily paperwork.
  • Respond to radio communications efficiently and professionally. 
  • Provide a high level of guest service and professionalism at all times.  
  • Knowledge of major area attractions and tourism needs in order to efficiently describe the location, including physical location and relative characteristics of information requested.
  • Maintain the valet area and surrounding area(s) free of debris.
  • Keep all Valet work areas clean and organized.
  • TIPS certified.
  • Properly report accidents and injuries per policy. 
  • Willingness to cross-train and provide support in related areas of operations.
  • Clean Valet Shack according to the cleaning schedule. 
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Must follow all state vehicle laws regarding speed and safety requirements  

OTHER NECESSARY SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must have excellent guest service and communication skills, both verbal and written.  Must be a team player with a positive attitude.  Must be able to complete tasks and projects in a timely manner by prioritizing obligations and time.  Must possess the ability to work with various personalities while maintaining impartiality.   Must respond to supervisory guidance and assignments and accept constructive criticisms in order to learn new, updated information.  The need for quickness, ease of adjustment to the work environment, and flexibility to change is essential in this position.   

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Must be at least 21 years of age. Prior customer service experience is preferred. 

 

DRIVING REQUIREMENTS

Must have a valid Driver’s License and be insurable by the Tribe.  Candidates are required to provide an official state Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) for approval from the state where they reside.

None 

EQUIPMENT TO BE USED

Both manual and automatic vehicles.

Electric (EV) vehicles.

Diesel and gasoline-operated vehicles.

Two-way radios with an earpiece. 

Battery jump pack.

Show Shovels, snow brushes, and or brooms.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to run short distances repeatedly throughout the entire shift.  May be required to lift up to 40 lbs. and be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.  May also be required to reach, bend, stretch, kneel, crawl, lift, and carry on occasion. Assist guests with wheelchairs/amigo carts, or walkers. In the winter, clear snow from vehicles. 

 

TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS

Must be able to effectively handle stressful and compromising situations while remaining focused and professional.  Must be able to deal with difficult people without losing perspective.  Must be able to work productively under strict time restraints with variable deadlines.   

WORKING CONDITIONS

Must be able and willing to work in a crowded, loud smoking environment.   Must be able to handle being under constant surveillance.   May be required to work in small, enclosed spaces.  Must be able and willing to work in all climate conditions.  Must practice all safety policies, procedures and standards as set by OSHA.  

 

COMMENTS

Native American and Tribal Preference will apply.  Must be able to pass a background investigation and a drug and alcohol urinalysis as a condition of employment. Must be able to work flexible hours and to take on additional responsibilities when asked.  Must adhere to company policies regarding strict confidentiality.
