Job Description:

The SAP OneHR EC Product Owner is responsible for being the “business technical expert” for the SAP SuccessFactors EC (Employee Central) and related processes. They will act as the lead for the solution or “Product” in terms of aligning the business requirements and outcomes to the new target system design, configuration and new/changed processes or ways of working (including any master data aspects as relevant).

The Product Owner will work with the business, other POs the SAP SuccessFactors Solution Architect (if the PO is a SAP/SF product or impacts the people HRIS roadmap and or people master data model) to ensure that design decisions are made on a no-regrets basis and the design is futureproof. They are the key business contact for delivery (be that internally or externally) and will work within the project framework.

The SAP OneHR EC Product Owner is expected to bring and apply their extensive expertise and experience in their product and the agreed delivery within the SuccessFactors HCM project implementation. They will be hands-on and establish good practice and discipline in the day to day delivery of their scope of works and be focused on achieving the outcomes and results required.

Key Duties

  • Participates in solution design activities across functional teams to collaboratively develop effective solutions based on EC. Leverages EC subject matter expertise to drive the resolution of more complex business service or technology challenge.
  • Providing functional expertise, guidance, defining technical standards, analysing system capabilities, and responding to issues on EC and end-to-end (E2E) HCM process and data process flows and their integration.
  • Driving requirements analysis/blueprints/explore sessions using show & tell techniques promoting standard SAP HR / EC processes, identifying gaps, getting those functionally designed, configured or customised.
  • Propose, develop or configure, document and test according to the functional and technical requirement by working closely with development team where this is not being done by the PO themselves
  • Full understanding of the HR End-to-End (E2E) process and data process flows and their integration points upstream and downstream with other systems.
  • Responsible for the review, evaluation and analysis of customer requirements in key subject areas (i.e. HR administration, time off, etc.).
  • Relevant certification and or training evidence or any HR professional accreditation (live & ongoing)
  • Provide expertise and guidance to team members.
  • Business and IT experience with experience in implementing and operating EC, implementation knowledge from various Industries
  • Current UK legislation around HR/employment and related core HR aspects
Qualifications:
  • Proven expertise in providing EC. functional expertise, guidance, defining technical standards, analysing system capabilities, and responding to issues on end 2 end HR processes
  • Strong EC documentation, reporting and presentation skills with well-developed analytical skills and the ability to provide clarity to complex issues, and synthesize large amounts of information
  • Proven experience in a functional and/or technical role for EC or a similar Tier 1 core HR product in a business or systems delivery environment preferably in more than one sector
  • Experience producing EC project deliverables across core EC / HR E2E (business requirements, functional specs, configuration document, process flows, use cases, requirements traceability matrices etc.)
  • Understanding of key delivery methodologies, approaches and market trends in the industry for EC
  • Proven experience of integration of EC with ECP, T&A systems e.g. UKG Kronos etc for Time, Absence and Attendance data, replication of EC to payroll and integrating any mashups for ECP from EC
  • Experience in delivering of solution awareness sessions to key stakeholders and project team members
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, effective communication and people skills, capable of working with diverse stakeholders, including IT teams, business users, functional consultants, and senior leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, proactively manage issues, and solve complex problems in a demanding environment
  • Relevant EC certification(s) and or training evidence is a plus, as is any HR professional accreditation
