Summary

The Truck-to-Truck (Forklift) Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, placement, and transfer of waste containers from Company facilities and direct generators using a forklift. This role supports hub logistics, ensures regulatory compliance, and helps maintain transportation efficiency.

Pay:  - $22.00 to $23.00 an hour

Summary

The Truck-to-Truck (Forklift) Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient transfer of waste containers using a forklift. This role ensures proper drum movement, hub logistics support, and compliance with transportation and regulatory requirements. The Technician works closely with logistics, compliance, and operations teams to maintain transportation efficiency and uphold safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a forklift to offload, palletize, reload, and move waste containers safely.
  • Coordinate shipments between hubs, plants, and outbound destinations.
  • Support compliance by maintaining accurate paperwork and adhering to regulatory storage permits.
  • Assist with dispatching transportation from hubs and tracking manifest return timelines.
  • Maintain Hub Database and related management systems.
  • Communicate with management regarding compliance, Department of Transportation (DOT) issues, and other operational concerns.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: 0–3 years of related work experience; prior forklift experience preferred.

Licenses/Certificates: Forklift training/certification required.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Windows-based applications.
  • Must meet physical requirements, including ability to lift up to 50 lbs., move drums with equipment, and safely operate forklifts.
