Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and management: Provide technical guidance and expertise to the engineering team. Foster a positive and collaborative team culture
- Project Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, plans and strategies. Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary. Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies, implement process improvements and streamline development processes
- Technical oversight: Ensure best practices in software development, testing, and deployment. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies.
- Communication: Ensure robust communication with the project team. Communicate project status, risks and opportunities to stakeholders in a timely and transparent manner.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Technical Management or in a related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in software engineering.
- Proven experience in a leadership or management role.
- Strong and effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to prioritise multiple projects and report details to management/stakeholders
- Demonstrable analytical skills using data to derive insights and drive decisions.
- Knowledge in technology development best practices (Agile).
- Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and a focus on achieving targets.
