General Summary:

  • Under the direction of a supervisor performs duties in sterile processing and the operating room to assist the surgical and anesthesia teams by maintaining instrumentation and supplies, by troubleshooting and supporting implant cases, and by educating others related to surgical implant procedures.  Inspects and verifies proper function of implants and instruments and refills implant trays with implantable materials after case-use.  Makes recommendations to management on the purchase of new or replacement implant instrumentation and implant systems for the operating rooms.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum Associates degree required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.  Experience beyond the work experience requirement may be substituted for the degree on 2 years of experience for 1 year of education basis.
  • Minimum two years instrument processing experience required.
  • CBSPD (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution) or CRCST, Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA), formerly IAHCSMM (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materials Management) certification

 

 

 

 

 

Salary Range: Minimum /hour - Maximum /hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

 

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
