Job Summary:
This creative strategist will own our corporate content ecosystem, telling the story of Vail Resorts, our leaders, and our team members internally and externally. This is a strategic, hands on role for a strong storyteller with experience developing and implementing high impact content. The role will oversee and expand our corporate thought leadership initiatives including our CEO’s podcast, corporate social media strategy, employee-generated content, and media relations to ensure a consistent and compelling narrative across all channels.

- Starting Wage: $93,000 - $100,000 + annual bonus

Job Responsibilities:
- Content Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute a content strategy that highlights our executives, employees, and company initiatives across internal and external channels.
- Editorial Leadership: Oversee development of written, audio, and video content, including producing, editing, and managing publication calendars.
- Corporate Social Media: Build and oversee corporate social strategy, including executive LinkedIn profiles, and stand up an employee-generated content program.
- Media Relations Integration: Partner with media relations to align storytelling with earned media opportunities, support development of press materials, and ensure a unified brand voice across owned and earned channels.
- Executive Thought Leadership: Ensure executive and corporate content reflects leadership priorities and aligns with corporate values, messaging, and business strategy.
- Podcast Leadership: Partner with an external producer to drive strategy for the CEO’s podcast editorial vision, cadence, and cross-channel promotion.
- Measurement & Optimization: Define KPIs across content, podcast, social, and media relations initiatives; track and deliver regular insights to leadership.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Manage and mentor the Manager of Corporate Content in their day-to-day responsibilities and guide junior content creators as needed.
Job Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in content creation, editorial strategy, or related fields.
- Proven experience producing and scaling content series for digital platforms (e.g., executive thought leadership, podcasts, branded video).
- Strong background in media relations or partnering closely with PR functions to shape corporate narratives.
- Exceptional storytelling skills, including writing, editing, editorial judgment, and the ability to adapt executive voice.
- Demonstrated ability to translate ideas into fully executed, multi-channel campaigns.
- Strong executive presence, with the ability to engage senior leaders and front-line employees alike.
Year One Priorities and KPIs:
- Launch CEO podcast with consistent cadence and measurable growth.
- Establish repeatable executive content series across LinkedIn and explore growing presence on other platforms
- Stand up company-wide EGC program
The expected Total Compensation for this role is $93,000 - $100,000 + annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Vail Resorts offers a ‘Hybrid’ work environment for Broomfield-based roles where employees must live within 50 miles of the Broomfield office and work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and have flexibility to work off-site on Mondays and Fridays.
