As an Oiler you are responsible for making daily routine checks to verify all lube reservoirs are full and not contaminated.

Requirements


Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Fork truck license preferred but not required, will train on the job.

• Mechanical aptitude

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Makes oil additions to equipment and routine changes per OEM recommendations or Preventative Plan.

• Required to make entries in computer-based log sheets and CMMS for tracking and usage purposes.

• Works to continuously improve safety by minimizing or eliminating workplace hazards (leaks) and injuries.

• Required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties upon request of the supervisor.

• Complies with the following OSHA Safety Standards: Hazard Communication; Bloodborne Pathogens; Lockout; Permit Required Confined Space; Hot Work Permit; Powered Industrial Trucks; P.P.E. and Ergonomics

• When necessary, participate in classes and training seminars to learn new technologies and techniques deemed helpful to performance on the job or spill containment and handling.

• Maintain lubricant inventory levels and report to shift supervisor and Crib Supervisor for order placement.

• Other duties as assigned.


Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

• Works in a fast-paced environment under minimum supervision.  

• Routine responsibilities and duties involve the use of various non-standard procedures and the application of clearly prescribed standards of practice, requiring the use of good judgment. 

• Must work with a high degree of accuracy to maintain the health of high-end manufacturing equipment. 

• Constant exposure to noise.

• Follow the Health, Safety and Environmental Program as reflected in the Health and Safety Policy Statement as well as the Environmental Management System (EMS).

• Adhere to the Quality Management System (QMS) and the Quality Policy.
