Status: Permanent Part Time   Pay Grade:  As Per JJE pay scales

Qualifications:   Journeyperson Cook Certificate, Healthcare Cook Certificate or deemed qualifications.  Must have sufficient knowledge of special diets and food preparation to ensure residents are receiving prescribed meals.  Must have knowledge of proper food storage and handling.

Job Summary:  Under the direction of the Head Cook, prepare vegetables for cooking, make gravies and dish out food for serving, assist with salad and sandwich making, serve food, store food supplies, cook meals, perform cleaning duties as assigned.  Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner.

Anticipated Start Date:    October 20, 2025

Closing Date for Applications:   October 8, 2025

FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES:

Cook Shifts – 6.0 hours or 8 hours (subject to change) including weekends and statutory holidays. 192 hours in a 6 week rotation.                

Hours of work include days, evenings, weekends and statutory holidays.
