Who We Are

Golden Queen Mining Co., LLC (the “Company”) operates a gold and silver, open pit, heap leach operation on its Soledad Mountain property, located just outside the town of Mojave in Kern County in southern California. The Project uses conventional open pit mining methods and the cyanide heap leach and Merrill-Crowe processes to recover gold and silver from crushed, agglomerated ore.

Who You Are

You are a results-driven Manager with deep expertise in precious metal processing and a passion for operational excellence. You are a strategic leader who thrives in complex environments, with proven experience optimizing heap leach and Merrill-Crowe operations. You have strong technical knowledge, a commitment to safety and compliance, and the ability to lead teams toward ambitious production and cost targets. You're a hands-on problem solver with a track record of driving continuous improvement.


This is a safety sensitive position. As the Process Manager you report to the Operations Manager. 


What You Do

  • Oversee all processing operations, including, Merrill-Crowe plant, conveying and stacking system, heap leach operation, and assay laboratory.
  • Manage leach pad stacking and solution application to ensure targeted metal recovery is achieved or exceeded.
  • Direct and optimize metal recovery through the Merrill-Crowe plant and refinery.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor strategies to meet production and cost targets, providing follow-up to ensure objectives are achieved.
  • Collaborate with the Crusher Manager to design and execute an efficient crusher-to-heap leach pad program for optimal results.
  • Actively participate in maintenance planning, procurement of equipment, and operating/maintenance supplies to ensure plant reliability.
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager to evaluate ore variability and grade, assessing impacts on recovery and overall process performance.
  • Lead and oversee assay laboratory operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and effective coordination between management and in-house teams.
  • Plan, organize, and control production activities and budgets, ensuring alignment with operational and financial goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant efficiency, metal recovery, and product quality.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, health, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Liaise with consulting engineers and regulatory agencies on operational permits, environmental controls, and emission standards.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective reporting systems covering plant performance, safety, environmental compliance, and production metrics.
  • Foster a strong safety culture, ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for all employees.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on operational performance, safety, and compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


What You Bring

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in precious metal processing, with strong knowledge of heap leaching and Merrill-Crowe recovery (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory/management experience in a relevant processing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Mineral Processing, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams.
  • Solid track record of problem-solving and decision-making in complex operational settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present technical and operational information clearly.
  • Strong financial and budget management experience, with the ability to optimize production costs.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety, health, and environmental regulations applicable to mining operations.
  • High level of accountability, integrity, and commitment to operational excellence.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • High school diploma or GED required.

Location & Relocation 

Must be willing to relocate to Southern California.
